About the role#
This student worker position supports the daily operations of World Hunger Relief. The role involves a mix of administrative tasks, facility maintenance, and social media content creation. You will work in a professional environment while gaining experience in non-profit operations, event coordination, and donor management. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
What you'll do#
- Perform administrative and office support duties.
- Create social media content and design graphics using Canva.
- Assist with facility cleaning and organization.
- Run office errands.
- Provide customer service and assist with farm fundraising event planning.
- Collaborate with external community service partners.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience creating social media content and graphics.
- Ability to handle administrative tasks and multitask effectively.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Graphic Design, Business Administration, or Public Health.
- Prior experience in a non-profit setting is preferred but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at Spring Lake Farm.
- Schedule: 8 to 20 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, with potential for Saturday shifts.
- Term: Fall 2026 and ongoing.
- Compensation: Paid position ($12.00/hr).
