Job Title: Student Worker - Office & Social Media Assistant - World Hunger Relief Job Classification: Community Service, Student Department: Off Campus Community Service Hiring Manager: Beth Ferguson Contact: Work Schedule: 8-20 hours per week. Daily start times and workdays will be discussed and established based on the applicant’s availability and WHR’s needs. Typically, these are M-F between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and possibly Saturdays. Desired Length of Employment: Fall and Ongoing Pay Rate: $12.00/hr Key Components:
- In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners.
Job Description: What are we looking for: We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to jump in and help out. We need an individual who has good communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to organize, a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and can be trusted to work to complete assigned tasks without being micromanaged.
General Qualifications: Ability to complete administrative and office tasks. Prior experience working for a non-profit is preferred but not required. Must be able to work alongside a team as well as be flexible and willing to multitask. Previous office experience is preferred. Previous experience creating Social Media content. Familiar with creating graphics on Canva, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record is required.
