About the role#
The Summer High School Institute at the University of Wyoming is hiring a Student Marketing and Social Engagement Assistant. This role focuses on program marketing, student outreach, and social media engagement. You will gain experience in content creation, digital marketing, and event promotion while helping to increase awareness for summer programming.
What you'll do#
- Develop and distribute promotional materials for institute programs.
- Create content for social media platforms and monitor accounts to respond to questions.
- Draft copy for emails, newsletters, digital signage, and website updates.
- Maintain a content calendar and track engagement metrics.
- Capture photos and videos at events and gather participant testimonials.
- Produce short-form videos, graphics, and student spotlights.
- Support outreach activities, information sessions, and recruitment events.
- Organize digital marketing assets and maintain project records.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Wyoming.
- Eligibility for a work study award through Student Financial Aid.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital trends.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
