About the role#
This position is for Federal Work Study students interested in theatre production. You will work with the production team to support stage setups, lighting, and general backstage operations at the Waco Civic Theatre. This role offers hands-on experience with technical theatre and team collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Load and unload sets, props, and equipment before and after performances.
- Manage scene changes during live shows to keep transitions smooth.
- Prepare the stage and equipment for rehearsals.
- Maintain stage equipment, including lighting, sound, and rigging.
- Work with lighting and sound technicians to execute technical cues.
- Keep the backstage area clean and organized.
What you'll need#
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor.
- Comfort working in dark or confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
- Flexible working hours.
- Commitment to following safety protocols.
- Collaborative mindset for working with a production crew.
