About the role#
This position supports stage operations at the Waco Civic Theatre. Students assist the production team with stage setups, lighting, and maintaining a safe work environment to ensure smooth performances. This role is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students.
What you'll do#
- Load and unload sets, props, and equipment before and after performances.
- Execute scene changes during live performances to ensure smooth transitions.
- Prepare the stage, props, and equipment for rehearsals and performances.
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of stage equipment, including lighting, sound, and rigging.
- Collaborate with lighting and sound technicians to support technical show elements.
- Maintain a clean, organized backstage area and adhere to all safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor.
- Comfort working in dark or confined spaces.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Flexible working hours.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Majors in Graphic Design, Communications, or Art are encouraged to apply.
