About the role#
This position is for Federal Work Study (FWS) students interested in fashion, design, or theatrical arts. You will gain experience in costume design and management while supporting productions at the Waco Civic Theatre.
What you'll do#
- Help design, create, and alter costumes for various productions.
- Manage the organization and maintenance of the costume inventory, including creating a photo map and directory for storage.
- Assist actors with quick changes and costume fittings during performances.
- Work closely with the costume designer to bring creative visions to life.
- Ensure all costumes are cleaned, steamed, and stored properly after shows.
What you'll need#
- Basic sewing skills and knowledge of garment construction.
- Experience with costume maintenance, including cleaning and organizing.
- Ability to provide dressing and quick change assistance.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
- Patience, professionalism, and an eye for design.

- Modality: On-site at the Waco Civic Theatre.
- Pay: $15 per hour.
