About the role#
This position supports the Children's Program at Mission Waco. You will assist in the daily operations of the program, working directly with youth participants and volunteers. This is an off-campus role requiring reliable transportation.
What you'll do#
- Plan and implement daily program activities, including gathering equipment and setting up rooms.
- Build relationships with children in the program and supervise them during daily activities.
- Supervise volunteers and enforce program rules and discipline.
- Complete administrative and cleaning tasks as needed.
- If you are 21 or older with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, you may receive training to transport youth from school to the program site.
What you'll need#
- You must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- General office skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Majors preferred include Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, Nursing, Public Health, Communications, Kinesiology, and Criminal Justice.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 10-15 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, between 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm. You are expected to work at least two of the four program days.
- Compensation: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour, depending on status and skill level.
