    About the role#

    This student worker position supports the Chemistry Research Office at Baylor University. You will assist faculty members with administrative tasks and research operations. The role requires 10 to 15 hours of work per week, typically spread across 2 to 3 days.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage calendars and schedule meetings for Dr. Romo and Dr. Korendovych.
    • Assist with pre-award grant activities, including proposal preparation and submission.
    • Coordinate purchasing requests for laboratory supplies, equipment, and services with the financial manager.
    • Maintain grant files and assist with post-award grant administration regarding expenditures and compliance.
    • Submit expense report receipts and make travel arrangements for research activities.
    • Assist with onboarding new research personnel and room scheduling for group meetings.
    • Liaise with department staff and perform general office management duties.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior undergraduate student.
    • Major in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or a similar department within the sciences.

    • This position is located at the Baylor Sciences Building in Waco, Texas.
    • Employment runs from mid-October through the end of May 2027.
    • This is a paid, part-time, on-site role.
