About the role#
The Martin Hall Office Assistant provides administrative support to the residential community at Baylor University. This role serves as a key resource for residents, visitors, and staff while contributing to the safety and security of the residence hall. This is a paid, part-time student worker position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Monitor door security and report issues to hall staff, including Community Leaders or the Residence Hall Director.
- Provide administrative assistance to residents, such as managing room access and checking out equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbooks for maintenance requests, equipment check-outs, lost and found items, and gift registries.
- Serve as a point of contact for residents, helping them communicate concerns to the appropriate hall staff.
- Enforce Campus Living and Learning policies and procedures.
- Perform general clerical duties, including handling correspondence, filing, data entry, and organizing office supplies.
- Greet visitors and provide customer service in accordance with university standards.
What you'll need#
- Must be a student currently enrolled at Baylor University.
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Strong knowledge of on-campus locations and resources.
- Commitment to excellent customer service and university policy compliance.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or Human Resources.
Location & details#
- Location: Martin Residence Hall, Waco, Texas.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, including potential weekend shifts.
- Duration: August 2026 through May 2027.
