About the role#
The HSB AI Consultant serves as a resource for business faculty and staff seeking to integrate generative AI tools into their teaching, research, and professional productivity. Based in the Technology Center, this role focuses on promoting AI literacy by guiding users on how to apply these tools creatively, effectively, and responsibly. This is a paid, part-time position for graduate students.
What you'll do#
- Review and update existing AI-focused Canvas courses to maintain current content for the community.
- Provide walk-in and scheduled support for faculty and staff using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini.
- Assist faculty and staff in transitioning from basic queries to effective, multi-step, and persona-based prompting.
- Help identify and explore AI agents relevant to specific business disciplines to support studies and professional workflows.
- Educate users on university AI policies, proper citation methods, and the identification of AI limitations such as bias and hallucinations.
- Create accessible resources including quick-start guides, use-case templates, example solutions, and video tutorials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a graduate student in good academic standing.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience using AI tools.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A commitment to academic integrity and the responsible use of technology.
- Preferred experience includes developing AI agents, familiarity with academic or business-specific AI use cases, and prior experience in tutoring, mentoring, or technical support.

- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible, up to 20 hours per week.
- Pay: $15 per hour.
