Graduate Student Employee Biweekly - Assistant Director for Well-being Initiatives

About the role#

The Assistant Director for Well-being Initiatives supports the planning, implementation, and assessment of programs designed to promote student wellness at Baylor University. This position focuses on fostering a culture of holistic well-being through educational initiatives, outreach, and student engagement opportunities.

What you'll do#

• Assist in developing and coordinating wellness programs, workshops, and events for the student body.
• Support the Peer Health Educators and Well-Being Ambassador program, including training, communication, and scheduling.
• Create and distribute educational materials on topics such as mental health, substance use prevention, and stress management.
• Manage communication channels, including email, group chats, and social media, to engage students and share resources.
• Collect and analyze participation data to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with campus partners to enhance outreach and provide administrative support, such as maintaining records and preparing reports.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a Public Health graduate program at Baylor University.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• A passion for student development, wellness education, and promoting a healthy campus culture.
• Experience in event planning, peer education, or student leadership is preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: McLane Student Life Center 206, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week.
• Pay: $16 per hour.
