About the role#
The Intern-Nurse II position on the 3 West-Medical Surgical unit provides technical assistance and patient care under the direction of registered nurses. This role supports the nursing team to achieve quality patient outcomes while building clinical knowledge and leadership skills.
What you'll do#
- Assess patients under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Contribute to, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Provide direct patient care and general assistance to the nursing staff.
- Participate in activities to improve health care delivery and complete assigned professional goals.
- Engage in ongoing educational activities to build a clinical knowledge base.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a registered nursing program and currently awaiting licensure.
- Ability to obtain BLS certification within 14 days of the hire date.
- Computer literacy.
- Note that the Nurse Intern II category is limited to a period of no longer than 90 days from the date of graduation.
