About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will join our team to gain hands-on experience in the insurance claims process. This role requires you to work on-site in either Lima or Columbus, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims by phone, mail, and on-site visits.
- Assemble facts to determine policy coverage and analyze legal liability.
- Evaluate the amount of loss and manage claim payments to ensure they are accurate and timely.
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build your technical knowledge.
- Help resolve claims, which may involve attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials.
- Support the needs of agents and policyholders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in college as an incoming junior or senior.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A detail-oriented approach to your work.
- The ability to manage multiple assignments and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
