About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a web developer intern to join our Analytics Web Systems team for the summer of 2027. You will work on developing, maintaining, and supporting software applications for both new and existing systems.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software programs and applications.
- Create flexible and maintainable solutions to technical problems.
- Communicate project status and technical details with business users, team members, and management.
- Identify and present opportunities to improve current processes.
What you'll need#
- You must be working toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework.
- Understanding of object oriented or functional design paradigms and best practices.
- Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, specifically Angular.
- Familiarity with tools and concepts such as SQL, ASP.NET, C#, C++, git, and Agile methodologies is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Lansing, Michigan.
- The internship typically runs from mid-May to mid-August, though start and end dates are flexible.
- You must be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
