About the role#
The Frederick Keys Community Outreach and Stadium Events Intern will work with our marketing and events teams to gain experience in professional sports. This role focuses on community engagement and event execution at Nymeo Field and at off-site locations. This is an unpaid internship for students receiving college credit.
What you'll do#
- Promote the Keys at community events and promotions.
- Assist in planning and coordinating community events.
- Help with social media coverage for public appearances.
- Contribute to the development of our outreach strategy.
- Work Frederick Keys home games and other events held at Nymeo Field.
- Complete administrative tasks related to event planning.
- Represent the organization at outside appearances, including serving as the mascot Keyote when needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Ability to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Availability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A willingness to listen, learn, and accept constructive feedback.

- Compensation: Unpaid, for college credit only.
