About the role#
This part-time internship offers university students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in grounds management and stadium operations. Working alongside our professional grounds team, you will help maintain the playing surface and ensure the stadium is ready for game days and other events. This position is unpaid and requires enrollment in a program that provides academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Maintain the playing surface through mowing, field marking, fertilization, irrigation, and repairs to the mound and plate.
- Assist with setup and breakdown for stadium events, including batting practice and field preparation.
- Clean dugouts and bullpens and remove field trash.
- Prepare the stadium for game days by checking fixtures and cleaning surfaces.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to run promotions.
- Interact with fans to improve their stadium experience based on real-time feedback.
- Assist with parking operations and event-specific tasks like Kids Run the Bases.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student receiving academic credit.
- Academic focus in Facility Management, Turf Grass science, or a related field such as Agriculture, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Real Estate, or Operations Management.
- Ability to operate hand tools and small engine equipment safely.
- Knowledge of landscaping maintenance, including seeding, sodding, and grass cutting.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Term: Summer 2026 (April/May through September, school schedule permitting).
