About the role#
The Development Operations Enterprise Optimization team is looking for a Co-Op student to support digital transformation, AI-enabled workflows, and data analytics. This 12-month role bridges the gap between technical development and business process improvement. You will work directly with stakeholders to identify efficiency opportunities, build automated tools, and create reporting solutions that support organizational decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and test AI-powered tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Apply Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, and Power Platform to automate manual business processes.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
- Create prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and minimum viable products for new solutions.
- Perform data analysis, quality assessments, and governance to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Develop documentation, including business process maps, user guides, and training materials.
- Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and recommend potential applications.
- Support change management, communications, and training efforts for new digital tools.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Science degree program, graduating at or after the end of the contract.
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Proficiency in building AI tools, including Generative AI applications and prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of data management fundamentals and FAIR data principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical ideas for a wide audience.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry or clinical trial operations is an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario.
- Term: 12-month contract starting in Winter 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with expectations to be on-site 2-3 times per week.
- Employment: Full-time, paid position.
