About the role#
The Quantitative Biosciences department is seeking a data science intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced pharmaceutical scientists to contribute to the discovery and advancement of new medicines across multiple therapeutic areas. This internship lasts 10-12 weeks and includes one or more specific projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform statistical research and analyses related to basic drug research.
- Develop data pipelines to move, integrate, and analyze diverse sources of biological data.
- Build and apply machine learning models to foundational data sets.
- Wrangle and analyze both structured and unstructured data to support translational strategies.
- Design and implement automated data connectors between core databases and reporting environments.
- Present your progress during internal meetings and deliver a final verbal presentation at the end of the program.
- Participate in scientific exchanges with team members.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related Bioscience discipline.
- Completed at least 2 years of studies toward a BS/BA degree, or at least 1 year toward a master's or PhD, by the start of the internship.
- Substantial computational coursework.
- Demonstrated record of strong academic achievement.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks, beginning in May or June 2027.

- The role is on-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
