About the role#
As the Sales Excellence Intern, you will join the US Pet Health Sales Excellence and Training team in Indianapolis. You will act as the team's AI specialist, focusing on how artificial intelligence can improve sales coaching, learning platforms, and overall operational efficiency. This is a full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Audit current learning systems to identify gaps and create a roadmap for AI-driven sales enablement.
- Engineer and calibrate conversational AI role-play simulations to provide feedback to sales representatives.
- Identify and implement Generative AI tools to automate content creation and reporting workflows.
- Monitor AI feedback mechanisms to ensure accuracy, alignment with sales competencies, and the absence of bias.
- Present strategic recommendations and proof-of-concept demonstrations to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Artificial Intelligence, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related technical field.
- Significant hands-on experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying AI or Generative AI solutions.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering, LLM application development, or AI-driven analytics projects.
- The ability to translate technical AI capabilities into practical business solutions.
- A solid foundation in business principles and the sales process.
- Preferred: Experience with RAG, prompt chaining, automation tools, or AI role-play simulation engines.
- Preferred: Familiarity with enterprise AI governance, model evaluation, or adult learning principles.
