About the role#
This IT Co-op role focuses on project management within the Central Data Science team. You will support data scientists and the Data Science Academy team with daily operations, project tracking, and event coordination. This is a full-time position requiring at least 4 months of commitment, with the possibility of extension up to 6 months.
What you'll do#
- Plan and coordinate an internal conference for Data Scientists.
- Manage event logistics, including registration and communications.
- Track tasks and project progress to ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide reporting support to the management team.
- Coordinate meetings and maintain project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university.
- A major or minor in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM field.
- Completion of at least 12 credit hours for undergraduates or 9 credit hours for graduate students.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with MS Copilot, Power BI, and MS Forms.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Jira is a plus.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Willingness to complete a drug test and post-offer physical if required.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
- The work modality is hybrid, requiring you to be on-site at least 3 days per week.
