About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time paid internship program at the AstraZeneca manufacturing facility in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. The program runs from May 17, 2027, to July 23, 2027. You will work 40 hours per week on-site. You will be assigned a mentor to guide your work, perform daily tasks specific to your department, and lead a key project to present to site leadership.
What you'll do#
Interns work across various functional areas, including:
- Project Management: Support cross-functional teams in planning, tracking, and delivering site initiatives.
- Learning & Development: Help design and deliver training programs for employee growth.
- Supply Chain: Contribute to the planning and coordination of materials, inventory, and logistics.
- Finance/Capital: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Quality Control: Perform lab-based testing and support analytical methods.
- Quality Compliance: Support audits, documentation, and regulatory readiness.
- Packaging & Formulation: Support operations, engineering, and maintenance with equipment troubleshooting.
- Information Technology: Support IT systems and digital tools.
- Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE): Contribute to initiatives that promote a safe and sustainable workplace.
You will also participate in job shadowing and lunch-and-learn sessions to understand how different functions operate at the site.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to your chosen area.
- Your expected graduation date must be after August 2027.
- You possess a basic understanding of technical areas relevant to the role.
- You have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- You demonstrate the ability to plan, implement, and achieve complex goals.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- You have US work authorization at the time of application and do not require sponsorship.
