    About the role#

    As a Data Science Co-Op, you will join the Central Data Science team in Ridgefield to support global initiatives. You will work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, extract trends from data, and build analytical solutions. This is a full-time position with a minimum duration of 4 months, with the possibility of an extension up to 6 months.

    What you'll do#

    • Analyze data sets and design analytical solutions with business teams.
    • Translate business ideas into data-driven projects.
    • Perform data preparation, modeling, and analysis.
    • Conduct user testing and support product development and maintenance.
    • Execute complex analytic solutions to address business problems.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
    • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours, and graduate students must have completed at least 9 credit hours.
    • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
    • Experience or coursework in machine learning or deep learning packages.
    • Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with data visualization tools and database technologies.
    • Ability to think strategically and collaborate in a team environment.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Experience with Hive or Hadoop is a plus.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
    • The work modality is hybrid, requiring you to be on-site at least 3 days per week.
    • You must be located in the local area for the duration of the co-op.
