About the role#
We are looking for a Supply Chain Management Summer Student to join our team for a 4-month term starting in May 2027. This role reports to the Team Lead, Procurement and is based in our Calgary office. You will work on various procurement tasks and support our advisors with strategic projects.
What you'll do#
- Support or lead sourcing events (RFx) and help develop sourcing strategies.
- Assist Senior Category Management Advisors with data analysis and project initiatives.
- Manage the initiation of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) with key suppliers, including coordination with Legal departments and ensuring proper execution within authority levels.
- Draft Pricing Agreements and handle tactical sourcing events.
- Create purchase orders and assist with reporting in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, and OpenInvoice.
- Document procurement processes, training materials, and identify areas for improvement.
What you'll need#
- Currently in your second or third year of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Management with a focus on Supply Chain Management.
- You must be returning to your studies after the work term.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office/365, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You perform well with minimal supervision and enjoy working in a team environment.
- Prior experience in Supply Chain Management is an asset.
