    About the role#

    ARC Resources Ltd. is hiring Engineering Co-op Students for 8 or 12-month terms starting in May 2027. These positions support our Production, Completions, Operations Planning, and Data Analytics groups. You will work on-site in Calgary with occasional travel to field locations.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with Senior Production Engineers and Operations staff on well optimization studies.
    • Review well files to identify production opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
    • Calculate facility capacities to identify potential bottlenecks.
    • Compile completions data and conduct lookbacks on technology trials.
    • Complete reviews of competitor drilling and completions activity.
    • Prepare fracture communication mitigation plans and assist in programming well completions.
    • Support the water engineering team with planning, design, reporting, and cost analysis.
    • Evaluate new water treatment technologies and contribute to ESG performance projects.
    • Perform data analysis within a multidisciplinary team of developers, analysts, and engineers.
    • Develop analytical models and create dashboards using Spotfire and Power BI.
    • Write and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts to analyze complex datasets.
    • Explore data to uncover trends that inform business strategies.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently in your second or third year of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
    • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, or a related engineering field.
    • Returning to school following the completion of your work term.
    • Experience leading or contributing to technical projects.
    • Strong computer and data analysis skills, including intermediate MS Office/365 proficiency.
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Previous experience in the petroleum industry is considered an asset.

    • Term: Summer 2027 start.
    • Status: Paid, full-time position.
