About the role#
ARC Resources Ltd. is seeking a Treasury and Tax Co-op Student to join the Treasury team for a 12-month term starting in January 2027. This role reports to the Manager, Treasury and provides an opportunity to gain experience in corporate finance and tax compliance within the oil and gas industry.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate payment runs and execute account and wire transfers.
- Manage cheque processes, including maintaining the log, cancelling or reissuing cheques, and internal delivery.
- Assist with journal entries and reconcile daily transactions and deposits.
- Monitor daily cash positions and update cash forecasting models.
- Reconcile daily deposit amounts across bank accounts and update the Joint Venture tracker.
- Prepare notices for credit facility draws and update borrowing spreadsheets.
- Assist with monthly tax compliance, filings, and corporate income tax return preparation.
- Support GST and PST tax recovery projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the second or third year of a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration program.
- Preference for students majoring in Finance or Accounting who are returning to their studies after the term.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience with SAP or other financial systems is an asset.
