About the role#
The Student Worker Lead oversees food operations, ensuring that food is prepared and served in the right quantities. You will manage daily activities, train team members, and maintain a safe, sanitary environment. This role requires flexibility, as you may need to cover for absent staff or assist with catering events on nights and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Create work schedules and maintain production records.
- Supervise, evaluate, and mentor food service staff to encourage teamwork and efficiency.
- Monitor food production to meet safety and quality standards.
- Track weekly inventory and place orders to keep the program running smoothly.
- Keep logs for equipment maintenance and perform regular safety checks.
- Communicate with staff and handle administrative tasks like catering coordination or cashier duties when needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the Aramark location.
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Knowledge of how to run an efficient, cost-effective program.
- Completion of a sanitation course, either before starting or during your first year.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
