About the role#
This position offers Arizona State University students the chance to learn the dining operations business by assisting the leadership team. You will support daily operations, help maintain accurate financials, and focus on developing your management skills. This role follows all safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
What you'll do#
- Supervise catering events and handle opening or closing duties for the location.
- Recruit, interview, and hire student employees.
- Manage student schedules and ensure all positions are covered during shifts.
- Verify that students complete assigned duties and follow uniform policies.
- Track student attendance, address performance issues, and report operational concerns to your supervisor.
- Interact with customers to improve their on-campus experience and gather feedback.
- Follow all safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at Arizona State University with sophomore standing or higher.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Ability to work 20 hours per week, including weekends.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Human Resources, Nutrition, Psychology, or Communications.
