About the role#
This is an on-site student worker position based at Jacksonville University. You will support our dining and catering operations while building skills in food preparation and customer service. This is a paid, full-time role with rolling start dates.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items by following standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations like prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Keep food items stocked and replenished at appropriate levels.
- Follow safety policies and maintain the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- You must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Ability to demonstrate strong guest service skills.
- Comfort with physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.

- This role is open to students pursuing majors in Business Administration, Marketing, Nutrition, or Public Health.
