About the role#
This position is for a student worker at the West Texas A&M C-Store. You will work on-site during the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, full-time role open to students in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, Chemical Engineering, Nutrition, and Kinesiology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations like prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Replenish food items and maintain stock levels.
- Follow safety policies, including food safety and sanitation standards.
- Secure company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use Personal Protective Equipment if required.
