About the role#
This is an on-site student worker position for food service or catering operations. You will work as part of a team to prepare food and support daily operations on campus. This role is open to students from various fields of study, including Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Psychology, Business Administration, Kinesiology, Chemistry, Communications, and Health Administration.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food according to established safety standards.
- Set up workstations like prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Keep workstations clean and sanitized.
- Replenish food items to maintain proper stock levels.
- Follow all company safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.
