About the role#
This is a student worker position at West Texas A&M University. You will work in food service or catering operations on campus. This is a paid, on-site role with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following recipes and directions.
- Store food according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and replenish stock levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide helpful service to guests and co-workers.
- Follow safety policies and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- You must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Comfort with physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment if required.
