About the role#
As a Student Food Services and Catering Worker, you will assist with food preparation and service operations on campus. This role is ideal for students who want to develop customer service skills while working in a team environment. You will follow standardized recipes and safety procedures to help keep our dining operations running smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items by following standardized recipes and directions.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food items and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after service.
- Properly store food in accordance with safety standards.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and follow all company safety and sanitation policies.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must have or be willing to acquire food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.
