About the role#
This position supports campus food operations at the University of Scranton. You will work as part of the catering team to prepare food, maintain service areas, and interact with guests. This is a paid, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations like prep tables, service counters, and hot wells.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked at appropriate levels.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Clean, sanitize, and break down workstations after service.
- Follow company safety policies and maintain the security of assets.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a student, ideally in a Nutrition program.
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or personal protective equipment as required.
