About the role#
Ankura Capital Advisors is seeking a Summer Intern to join our investment banking team. You will work alongside senior members to advise companies, creditors, and stakeholders on strategic alternatives. This includes work in M&A, special situations financing, liability management, and restructuring.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day transaction execution under the direction of Managing Directors.
- Develop fully integrated financial models and conduct valuation exercises for companies and business units.
- Create pitch materials and transaction marketing documents.
- Prepare industry research, client analysis, and bespoke reports.
- Coordinate business due diligence and support M&A and restructuring transactions.
- Draft offering memoranda, internal committee memoranda, and management or board presentations.
- Maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors.
- Support new business and marketing initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- Strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.
- High attention to detail and consistency in work product.
- Demonstrated leadership, maturity, integrity, and work ethic.
- Ability to work as a self-starting team player.
- Interest in obtaining SIE, 7, 79, and 63 licenses in the future.
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
