About the role#
The Environmental Intern will support compliance and stewardship efforts for our Nevada Projects portfolio. This is a project-based role where you will own a specific technical assignment from start to finish. You will gain hands-on experience and deliver a final report and presentation to our technical leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Take ownership of a dedicated 12-week project, manage timelines, and deliver a final technical report and presentation.
- Conduct field inspections and environmental assessments while reviewing regulatory documentation and permits.
- Assist the team in evaluating operational activities for environmental risk and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Support the design, execution, and data analysis of environmental monitoring programs covering water, air, waste, and reclamation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising senior in an Undergraduate program or as a final-year Master's or PhD student.
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources, Biology, Geology, or a related discipline.
- Foundational understanding of environmental monitoring, field data collection, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills with the ability to analyze datasets and draw logical conclusions.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to ask questions.
- Familiarity with Nevada environmental regulations and permitting is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States and a valid driver's license.
