Environmental Sustainability intern

About the role#

This internship focuses on assessing and improving corporate environmental and sustainability reporting. You will work to streamline data collection processes and improve the company's responsiveness to customer requests for environmental product declarations.

What you'll do#

• Research current issues and trends in CSR, ESG, LCA, and EPD reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure accuracy and timeliness of documentation.
• Create or maintain internal frameworks to capture company data.
• Use existing carbon tools to generate Environmental Product Declarations and calculate carbon footprints.
• Research LCA and EPD practices of comparable companies.
• Assist in drafting sustainability policies and soliciting feedback.
• Design and facilitate updates to company websites.
• Present a summary of your work and achievements to leadership at the end of the term.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a university program for Environmental Engineering or a relevant major.
• Knowledge of sustainability topics, including life cycle assessments and carbon footprints.
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to senior leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivation and creative thinking skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
