About the role#
The Metallurgical Engineering Intern joins the Processing and Metallurgy team to work on projects within our Nevada portfolio. This is a 12-week, project-based internship. You will own a core technical assignment from start to finish, culminating in a presentation to our technical leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Manage a dedicated 12-week project and its timeline.
- Deliver a final technical report and presentation.
- Review engineering documents, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Assist with technical studies to support process selection.
- Support the design, execution, and data analysis of metallurgical programs alongside the engineering team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a rising senior in an undergraduate program or as a final-year Master's or PhD student.
- A degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related process discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of mineral processing, metallurgical testwork programs, and scale-up principles.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze datasets, draw logical conclusions, and present findings clearly.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to ask questions.
- Familiarity with gold processing flowsheets is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites if necessary.
