About the role#
This is a project-based internship focused on technical mining contracts. You will own a dedicated 12-week project from start to finish. Instead of general administrative work, you will conduct research, evaluate contract strategies, and propose improvements regarding regulatory changes in Africa. The program concludes with a final technical report and presentation delivered to leadership.
What you'll do#
- Manage your project timeline and deliverables.
- Conduct regulatory reviews to monitor local content requirements and procurement rules.
- Analyze current mining contracts and commercial strategies for effectiveness.
- Map contract risks, commercial vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.
- Develop strategic roadmaps to mitigate risks and optimize contract value.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising senior in an Undergraduate program for Supply Chain or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to turn raw data into insights.
- Understanding of project management fundamentals and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with change management methods.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and communicate effectively.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- A valid driver license.
