About the role#
The Project Controls Analyst Intern supports the Project Controls team to track and control schedules and budgets for Nevada projects. This is a project-based role where you will own a specific 12-week assignment from start to finish. You will gain hands-on experience and conclude your internship by delivering a technical report and presentation to leadership.
What you'll do#
- Manage project timelines and deliverables for your assigned 12-week project.
- Monitor ongoing field operations, including construction and drilling activities.
- Oversee daily work progress to ensure it meets safety and quality standards.
- Record and report field data such as drilling metrics and fuel consumption.
- Measure performance against approved schedule and budget baselines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising senior in an undergraduate program or as a final-year Master's student.
- Pursuit of a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of open-pit or underground mining methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Familiarity with PMI and AACE International standards.
- Ability to analyze datasets, draw logical conclusions, and present findings.
- Strong technical writing and reporting skills.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to ask questions.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- A valid driver's license.
