About the role#
This internship supports the Supply Chain team at AMETEK. You will contribute to projects focused on inventory management, data visibility, and process efficiency within our production facility. The role involves hands-on work with data entry and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Collect, analyze, and report on logistics and inventory data to help with planning.
- Update and maintain item card information in the ERP system.
- Work with cross-functional teams to find and implement process improvements.
- Review supplier processes to identify areas for optimization.
- Prepare and present findings based on your data analysis.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects aligned with Lean Manufacturing principles.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business, or a related technical field.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and data entry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Willingness to use AI tools for productivity and critical evaluation of AI outputs.
