About the role#
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will support sourcing activities while learning about supplier engagement, management, and strategy. You will work across functional groups including marketing, engineering, and finance to solve sourcing problems.
What you'll do#
- Support Commodity Managers with project and day-to-day operations through data analysis, business system administration, and quote package support.
- Partner with Commodity Managers and the VP of Supply Chain on re-sourcing and other department projects.
- Track and report information for the First Article Inspection process and coordinate between Sourcing and Engineering.
- Help develop and manage key process indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance and department goals.
- Assist business unit associates in finding efficient ways to access and analyze supplier data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- A strong interest in sourcing and a desire to gain practical knowledge for your career.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to calculate figures and analyze data.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
