About the role#
We are looking for a Pre-Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing team in Milford, New Hampshire. This is a hands-on, paid, full-time position that offers experience with manufacturing processes and technical measurement techniques. You will work in various departments under the direction of a supervisor to support our production goals.
What you'll do#
- Perform light secondary tasks including deburring, washing, cleaning, grinding, and straightening parts.
- Use tools like digital calipers, micrometers, snap gages, and optical comparators for precise measurements.
- Read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents.
- Operate hand tools, fixtures, power tools, and manual presses to assemble components.
- Complete tasks like drilling, cutting, tapping, buffing, and press work.
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completed at least one year of college-level engineering or pre-engineering coursework.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manipulate small parts with hand dexterity.
