About the role#
The Engineering Technician Intern supports our engineering team through hands-on work in manufacturing, process improvement, and quality projects. You will gain experience in troubleshooting, data analysis, and documentation while working in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with manufacturing and process improvement projects.
- Perform Returned Material Authorization (RMA) evaluations, including product inspection, failure analysis, and documentation.
- Collect and analyze production and quality data.
- Maintain work instructions, setup sheets, and engineering records.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Assist with equipment validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to find productivity improvements.
- Assist with tooling, fixture, and machine improvement projects.
- Help investigate customer complaints and internal quality issues.
- Support new product introductions and engineering change implementation.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making, including the ability to identify use cases and evaluate AI-generated outputs.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing settings.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to safely use standard office and manufacturing equipment.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
