About the role#
We are looking for a detail-oriented apprentice to join our U.S. Public Policy & Advocacy team. This co-op provides hands-on experience in legislative affairs and advocacy. You will work from our office located near the U.S. House of Representatives office buildings. This is a full-time, hybrid position that includes opportunities for in-person work on Capitol Hill.
What you'll do#
- Prepare slide decks and presentations for the team.
- Develop one-pagers for federal advocacy efforts.
- Attend industry briefings and hearings to draft summary memos.
- Track and analyze public policy developments, such as executive orders and regulations.
- Input and organize data related to lobbying, meetings, and PAC conversations.
- Review and verify facility asset types and assist with internal data organization.
- Participate in and document state advocacy coalition calls.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate school program with an upcoming completion of a master's degree.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
