About the role#
The Human Resources Leadership Development Program (HRLDP) Summer Internship is a strategic program designed for high-performing master’s and MBA students. This internship serves as a direct pipeline into the full-time HRLDP. Interns gain exposure to senior leadership and the diverse functional areas within the Colleague Experience Group (CEG), which manages human resources functions at American Express.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to strategic, high-impact initiatives that align with the CEG strategy.
- Participate in rotations designed to stretch your capabilities and prepare you for future leadership roles.
- Work under the mentorship and coaching of senior leaders.
- Present your insights and recommendations to the Chief Colleague Experience Officer and the CEG Senior Leadership Team at the conclusion of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time master’s or MBA program in Human Resources or an HR-related degree program.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to lead people, projects, or initiatives.
