About the role#
This Cybersecurity Co-Op position supports the Digital IT organization at Ameren. You will work on tasks related to cybersecurity architecture, threat hunting, incident response, and governance to help protect company assets.
What you'll do#
- Support policies, processes, and technologies to secure Ameren systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for the Corporate Cyber Security Program.
- Process requests for changes to access or configurations of corporate computer resources.
- Identify security needs for current and upcoming projects.
- Conduct risk assessments through interviews and the evaluation of technical mitigations.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders to deliver on security initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, computer systems, and network infrastructure.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
- Completed cybersecurity coursework is preferred.
