About the role#
The GIS Co-op for the Real Estate department assists with mapping property rights and supporting various GIS projects. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and mapping personnel to maintain Ameren's records. This role requires a willingness to learn the intersection of real estate and GIS technology.
What you'll do#
- Map Ameren property rights in ArcGIS Pro and deliver them to the GIS Technician.
- Use GIS tools to identify property rights for the Real Estate Department.
- Visit field sites to collect data and verify existing Ameren records.
- Review GIS data for quality control and quality assurance.
- Interact with contractors to confirm the validity of provided data.
- Document work practices used to gather and record information.
- Assist with updates to Ameren data and analyze property interests.
- Learn to use the real estate database and interpret legal documents.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for GIS, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5, though a 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience or knowledge of Esri ArcPro GIS is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple tasks with minimal oversight.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A solid part-time work history is preferred.

- Compensation: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour.
