User Experience (UX) Designer Fall Internship – 2026 (US)

About the role#

As a UX Design intern, you will contribute to product vision and collaborate with a team that defines and designs user interfaces, systems, and interaction, visual, motion, and voice design patterns. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in a real-world setting. You will work on impactful projects, engage with design professionals for development, and participate in intern activities.

What you'll do#

• Design thoughtful and useful software user interfaces and experiences within a team environment.
• Create user-centered designs by analyzing market data, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.
• Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes.
• Design UI architecture, interface, and interaction flows for various applications.
• Maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns.
• Collaborate with program managers to plan projects for effective delivery while maintaining high design standards.
• Communicate design rationales and benefits effectively to Amazon customers and stakeholders.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an academic program physically located in the United States, with an expected graduation date between April 2027 and December 2029.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Design, Human-Centered Interaction, Statistics, Psychology, Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality design solutions.
• Proficiency in a variety of design, wire-framing, and prototyping tools.
• Submission of at least two creative materials for review, demonstrating your design process, problem-solving approach, and customer-centric thinking.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.

• Location: Seattle, Washington, USA (with potential consideration for other US locations).
• Term: Fall 2026 (starts August/September 2026).
• Modality: On-site, Monday–Friday.
