About the role#
As a UX Design intern, you will contribute to product vision and collaborate with teams that define and design user interfaces, systems, and interaction patterns. This internship provides hands-on experience in a real-world setting, allowing you to work on impactful projects while engaging with professionals for personal and professional development. This is a full-time, paid position requiring a 40-hour work week.
What you'll do#
- Design thoughtful and useful software user interfaces and experiences within a team environment.
- Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.
- Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes.
- Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of applications.
- Work with program managers to plan projects for effective delivery while maintaining high standards for design.
- Write effectively to communicate design rationales and benefits to customers.
- Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an academic program physically located in the United States.
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Design, Human-Centered Interaction, Statistics, Psychology, Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline.
- Ability to commit to a 40-hour work week for the duration of the internship.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality design solutions.
- Proficiency in a variety of design, wire-framing, and prototyping tools.
- Submission of at least two creative materials for review, demonstrating your design process, problem-solving approach, and customer-centric thinking.
- Minimum of one quarter, semester, or trimester of study remaining after the internship concludes.
Location & details#
- Location: Seattle, Washington, United States.
- Term: Fall 2026 (starting August or September 2026).
- Work Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday, typically between 8am and 5pm.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
