About the role#
As a Product Design intern, you will work on product teams with minimal supervision and own the end-to-end execution of real product features. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, developers, and forward deployed engineers to refine and evolve the quality of Palantir products. This role requires working on-site in Palo Alto.
What you'll do#
- Execute interaction and visual design for products, from early concepts to high-level workflows and micro-interactions.
- Conduct informal user research, pairing qualitative methods like usability tests and contextual inquiry with quantitative product usage metrics.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to prototype and build out features.
- Communicate design rationale and incorporate feedback through an iterative process.
What you'll need#
- An active US Security clearance, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
- Expected graduation in 2028, with this role serving as your final internship.
- A portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project.
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Human Resources, Media Studies, or Industrial Design.
- Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Basic awareness of how software interfaces are built, including familiarity with HTML, CSS, Javascript, or Typescript.
