About the role#
As a Product Design intern for the US Government team, you will take on responsibilities similar to a full-time designer. You will work with minimal supervision to own the end-to-end execution of real product features. This role involves working alongside designers, product managers, and engineers to refine the quality of software products while receiving mentorship in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Define early product concepts and execute visual design, including high-level workflows and micro-interactions.
- Conduct informal user research to learn from users, often by visiting customer offices.
- Collaborate with product and forward-deployed engineers to prototype and build products.
- Apply flexible research methodologies to achieve the right outcomes.
- Use tools such as Figma to design and prototype features.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment with an expected graduation date in 2028.
- An active US Security clearance or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
- A portfolio showcasing at least one software interface design project.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Typescript to facilitate collaboration with engineers.
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, or Industrial Design.
