About the role#
Forward Deployed Software Engineers work directly with customers to understand their most difficult problems and build solutions using data. You will work in small teams with minimal supervision, taking ownership of projects from start to finish. This role offers the chance to contribute to critical operations across various industries and institutions.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with customers to design and implement technical solutions.
- Manage end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects.
- Discuss system architecture with fellow engineers.
- Wrangle massive-scale data and code custom web applications.
- Speak directly with customer executives to establish strategy for your team.
What you'll need#
- You must be planning to graduate in 2028 and this must be your final internship before graduation.
- An engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Willingness to undergo a US government background investigation.
- Ability to work independently, learn continuously, and make decisions with little direction.
- Interest in solving problems using data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
- Comfort collaborating with both technical and non-technical individuals.
