About the role#
As a Product Design intern, you will own the end-to-end execution of real product features while working alongside designers, product managers, and engineers. You will contribute to the human experience of our software by defining product concepts, workflows, and visual designs. This role provides the resources and mentorship of an established tech company while allowing you to work with minimal supervision.
What you'll do#
- Lead a design sprint for your product team.
- Design micro-interactions to make complex analytical tasks feel simple.
- Advocate for UX consistency by creating flexible, reusable UI components.
- Conduct user research and interviews, often by visiting customer offices.
- Collaborate with product teams and engineers to prototype and build products.
- Pair qualitative research methods with quantitative usage metrics to inform design decisions.
What you'll need#
- Must be planning on graduating in 2028.
- A portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project.
- Experience designing and prototyping using tools such as Figma.
- Awareness of how software interfaces are built, including familiarity with frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript, or Typescript.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to iterate quickly, validate ideas with stakeholders, and give or receive design critiques.
