About the role#
As a Product Design intern, you will work on product teams with minimal supervision and own the end-to-end execution of real product features. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to refine and evolve the quality of Palantir products. This role offers the resources and mentorship of an established tech company while providing the opportunity to contribute to complex, data-dense interfaces.
What you'll do#
- Lead a design sprint for your product team.
- Design micro-interactions to make complex analytical tasks feel simple.
- Advocate for UX consistency by creating flexible, reusable UI components.
- Conduct user research and interviews, often visiting customer offices to learn from users.
- Execute visual design and define high-level workflows for new features.
- Collaborate with product teams and engineers to prototype and build products.
What you'll need#
- Must be planning on graduating in 2028. This should be your final internship before graduating.
- A portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project.
- Experience designing and prototyping using tools such as Figma.
- Awareness of how software interfaces are built, including familiarity with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Typescript.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to validate ideas early and incorporate feedback rapidly.
